The right corner of this panel ends 1" for the corner. A 3/16 inch 45 degree chamfer detail was added at the inner panel elevation

The wainscoting staircase panel ends just prior to the corner of the wall and the 3 1/4" top cap is mitered to go vertical along the panel edge.
